s1darvel gets its very own Community Correspondent

We're very pleased to say that John Oliver has agreed to become Community Correspondent for s1darvel.

John lives in Jamieson Road and moved to Darvel after living in Fenwick six years ago. He is a native of Newcastle but he is learning the language.

s1darvel is still an open forum for anyone who lives in area to talk about Darvel life - if you live in Darvel then this site is yours to post to.

But we're delighted that John has agreed to give Darvel a hand by collecting and posting snippets of local news. It's a real service that John is doing for Darvel, and we're extremely grateful. He isn't a professional journalist, just a member of the community doing his bit.

John said: "I believe this site has great potential as a local forum. Being from a city I appreciate the community spirit in Darvel and will help in any way I can without being intrusive."

Good for you John. Darvel Improvement Group appreciate having someone like yourself who is prepared to act as middleman between the public, many of whom have no access to the internet, and s1darvel. We feel sure you will do a good job in passing on "Local Gossip" which is of interest to the people of Darvel. There you go folks all you have to do is contact John and he will do the rest.
