Re-launch of Darvel Boys' Brigade

Great news, the Darvel Boys’ Brigade is to be re-launched. Following a very positive meeting on Wednesday August 11, attended by Niall Roland from Boys’ Brigade Headquarters, Mrs Lynsey Henderson, who is instrumental in trying to restart the Brigade, members of the Kirk session and former Boys’ Brigade leaders, it was decided to offer enrolment in the Anchor Section (P1 to P3) and the Junior Section (P4 to P7) as the first step in restarting the BB in the Town. This excellent venture deserves full support and volunteers will be needed to assist or train as leaders. The youth of the Town will benefit from the organisation and even if you can help on an occasional basis it will all be appreciated. The next get together for anyone interested will be held in Darvel Parish Church Hall, Ranoldcoup Road on Wednesday September 8 at 7.30pm

I think this is a great idea and I wish Lyndsey all the best with setting up the organisation.  We must celebrate all that is good that is going on in our village and I hope support will be there.
