The Rural held their meeting on Thursday February 9, 2012. Isobel Morton chaired the meeting.

At a recent charity Whist Drive £550 was raised. This was presented to Carol Golding, Service Manager of the Urology Department at Ayr Hospital at the meeting. Carol received it with grateful thanks on behalf of the Department

Isobel then introduced Janet Cousar who gave a baking demonstration ably assisted by Kate Mackie. The Jenny Lindsey Trophy was also held at the meeting. The winners were Team One:- Margaret Moir, Ellen Logan and Janet Russell.

The winners of the bulb competition were:- Hyacinths – 1st Mary Hamilton, 2nd Margaret Simpson.

Daffodils – Margaret Simpson.

Charlotte Thomson gave a vote of thanks. The next meeting is Thursday March 8, 2012
