Childrens play Area at Morton Park Darvel

Over the coming months all of the existing equipment, including the sand pit, will be removed and replaced with new equipment which conforms to Health and Safety Standards. There will be a number of new seats and the newer style large litter/doggie bins located throughout the park. A number of Gabions will be placed on the Matha Burn where bank erosion is becoming dangerous.  That part of the river Irvine banking which runs through the park will be cleared of undergrowth. Eroded sections of footpaths will be repaired.  Darvel Imp Group are acting with East Ayrshire Council and the project has a budget of £170K.
