1st design entered for replacement.

Blown to smithereens nearly 30 years ago, at last someone has the courage to propose a replacement. 'Spring L.I.N.K.' will try to look as minimal as possible to achieve the least carbon footprint, shadow, upset to the view, carbuncle, plook or basic eyesore.

I have tried to place a photograph of the Loudoun hill viaduct on Google Earth. Hopefully other people will place their better pictures on too. I will place a sketch of my proposal on S1 in the near future. Do you think a competition should take place to decide which design is most appropriate.'Spring L.I.N.K.' tries to look invisible so as not to damage the current view.

The photoraph for Panoramio/Google Earth has been declined twice.I will try a third time. Here is the photograph I have sent to them.

Does anyone have a better photograph.I have placed and had accepted a picture of the Gauchalland/A719 Sir Chris Hoy Cycle Way at Wallacetown ( Galston ). This link to Kilmarnock Dean Park is the most recent addition to the National Cycle Network ( NCN ) 732 Lochranza on Arran to Strathhaven in Lanarkshire South. Next section will bring the Newmilns and Darvel viaducts a new role in the 21st Century. The Hill of Lugh (Loudoun) viaduct sadly is not now there to be converted. Spring L.I.N.K. bridge will probably arrive nearer 2020. We have olympics (London City State) and commonwealth (Glasgow City State) asking for ever more funding presently. Do we have the patience to wait ? Of course we can. By the power of Zumba our residents will be fit to cycle Muirkirk Diamond which follows the Rivers Irvine and Ayr.
